The Fuel That Lights My Fire

It is now June and it’s beginning to look like summer out there. We were cooped up all winter and had a few rough storms thrown at us. Some of us couldn’t make it to work and some of us did but couldn’t make it home due to the highways being backed up. Now, we are tired of thinking about snow and the cold weather and we are all starting to plan our vacations. The smart ones are using Sundance Vacations to book their vacations and the others are just staying close.

It is really starting to bother me that the gas prices just keep rising due to the fact that the fuel companies just want to benefit from the summer travel. I do not have a family so it is pretty easy for me to fly for my vacation but there are some people with big families that can’t afford to fly because we all know when fuel price goes up then, any guesses? That’s right, then the airfare price goes up! So, these families try to stay as local as possible but still that isn’t benefiting them either. I feel like no matter what we can’t win. It’s not like we can stop driving. Around here we live in the country and there is not much public transportation. Now, if we lived in a big city it would be easier to avoid using the cars but, for us this is not the case. Exxon/Mobile has made $36.13 billion dollars so far this year. It makes you wonder……This is the fuel that lights my fire!!!

The price of gas is effecting every aspect of our lives these days. Even if it is not travel related, the price of gas still affects the price of things that are shipped here. The cost of “everything” is going up!! But, I guess that is good news for anyone who has purchased a vacation package through Sundance Vacations. Sundance Vacations clients have already pre-purchased their accomodations at affordable rates. They may need to pay a little extra at the pumps to get to where they are going, but I’m sure they will have a great time once they get there!!

I agree with you 100%. The gas prices are really out of control. I have a family and I couldn’t think of going away on vacation. The furthest I go is to my camper which is only about 45 minutes away and that even kills me in gas. I just might wait until winter to take my vacation when gas prices are lower.

I agree. Gas prices do put a damper on summer plans. I am getting excited to see that the prices are slowly dropping. At this point I would be happy if they went down to $2.50 again. However, I don’t think that people shouldn’t enjoy their summers because of it. I hope everybody takes at least one vacation this year and lets us know how much they enjoyed themselves.

Absolutely! The price of gas does affect the price of just about everything, which usually includes vacationing. Vacations are a necessity for everyone! The increase in the price of gas usually makes it much harder, if not impossible, to get away.

When gas prices decline a little every now and then, people take advantage and confirm the high demand we have for gas and the stranglehold we are in.

However, Candy makes an excellent point as Sundance Vacations allows customers to enjoy a vacation with very minimal anxiety and worry about gas prices.

I completely agree. I remember back in the day (haha) when gas used to cost $.98/gallon- it only took $10 to fill my tank! Now that amount would maybe give me a quarter tank of gas. Imagine the amount of money goes into filling the permission marketing company cars with gas every day! And they are driving two hours at a time no matter what the event!

I put a minimum of 350 miles on my SUV a week. 50 miles a day just to get to work. It costs me almost $10 a day just to come and make money. It is ridiculous what the cost of gas is. Dampening my vacation that is the least of my problems…it is costing me enough just to come to work!
