I Like To Brighten Your Day
Well, how can I start, I’ve been working with Sundance Vacations for a year now and it’s been great. As a blind person working in this kind of position as a marketer, I love the challenge. Every morning that I wake up, I think about who is the next person I will brighten up on the phone informing them that they have been selected to receive a vacation. Sometimes, I get people who don’t appreciate the offer, but my opinion with those people is they should take a vacation to enjoy their life. One thing you have to think of in this life is this, you have one chance to do what you can to fulfill your needs, traveling or not traveling. I am not saying this just because I’m working for a discount travel company. I’m telling you this because I would do just about anything to take my wife and daughter on a beautiful trip to escape the stress in our life, everyone needs to do that sometimes. So, take it from me if you have the chance to get out, take advantage of it and enjoy yourself.

I like your comment and I think that all I can say is that I also live to brighten peoples day, because humor and happiness is an energy that defies normal concepts, it comes from one person as a simple ethereal act, and when it enters another persons ears or eyes it transforms into a kind of energy that gives an uplifting experience and makes a person feel as if they can do a little something more extra that day.
I always say, put one smile upon the face of just one person and you put also upon yourself a smile inside and out and you give yourself a fulfilling experience that last a whole day.
As it was said in a movie “pay it forward” and it will come back greater than it was.
and you can travel far and wide and even sometimes the saddest moment in your day can be washed away and the hurt and pain can be seen in a new perspective of a clear instant and suddenly you know that you must give that energy away to someone else just to reshape your growth!
If I see one sad person, their sadness I feel deeply and personally. No one should be sad because life is so short and people should experience each day with a happiness and satisfaction that gives meaning and dignity to each persons life. That is why in the end when we look back upon our years we can say it had purpose and meaning because we faced each trial standing tall with our heads up, even when our hearts feel small.
For, in the final days of our lives we know what it is we have done and come to know and that transforms our experiences into a unique wisdom that we can share with the young so that their own experiences can be a more brighter event than when we had experienced those same moments when we were also once young.
Alot of people say, one person can not make a difference because the trials are too enormous to surmount, but the truth is, every accomplishment and historic event started with just one person at first and inspired many, and those who were so inspired stood up together and succeeded as one where previously it was thought that one voice could not be heard in a crowd of many.
The best vacation sundance vacations offers everyone is the chance to get away from the mundane tasks and see their lives from a calmer and different perspective away from the brustling daily active grind and monotiny of those everyday chores.
If a person can make a job into something fun, then they are more apt to doing a more successful task later on, even when it seemed at the time, they were doing nothing at all!
I agree!! You need to break away from the hustle and bustle every so often and spend quality time with family. I am very lucky that I do get travel often and I have had the chance to visit many wonderful and exotic places. My problem is that I don’t spend enough time enjoying my home or spending time with family. The time I spend at home is usually spent cleaning. And, I miss out on many family functions becuase I am usually “too busy” or already have plans. So, I 100% agree with you when you said, “One thing you have to think of in this life is this, you have one chance to do what you can to fulfill your needs, traveling or not traveling”. And I am going to take your advice that you gave at the end. But, I’m going to change the words around a little to fit my situation: “So, take it from me if you have the chance to spend some time at home, take advantage of it and enjoy yourself.” Thanks, your comments did brighten my day!
HI THERE THIS IS CHRIS FROM THE SHAMOKIN OFFICE…I KNOW ITS BEEN A WHILE SINCE MY LAST BLOG…ALOT OF THINGS WERE GOING ON IN MY LIFE, BUT NOW THAT I AM BACK, I JUST WANTED TO SAY A FEW MORE INSPIRING THINGS ABOUT SUNDANCE VACATIONS FOR A WHILE.
THE ONLY WAY YOU TRULLY REALIZE THAT YOUR WORK ENVIRONMENT IS A POSITIVE ONE, IS WHEN YOU ACTUALLY HEAR FEED BACK FROM YOUR CO-WORKERS ABOUT YOU WHEN YOU ARE SOMETIMES ABSENT FROM YOUR JOB, DUE TO UNFORTUNATE EVENTS IN YOUR LIFE.
THAT’S WHAT HAPPENED TO ME RECENTLY, BUT THE BEST THING WAS WHEN I RE-TURNED TO MY OFFICE, I HAD A SEMI-LONG TALK WITH MY BOSS BECKY (WHOM YOU ALL SHOULD KNOW BY NOW) AND SHE LENT ME THE MOST UNDERSTANDING AND GENTLE EAR A PERSON IN HER POSITION CAN OFFER TO AN EMPLOYEE SUCH AS MYSELF!!!
FEAR RUNS THROUGH ALL OF US–I USED TO FEAR GOING ON VACATIONS WHEN I WAS YOUNGER, BECAUSE I DIDN’T KNOW IF I’D ENJOY IT, AND WHEN I RETURNED FROM THEM I REALIZED PEOPLE AND THINGS AT MY PREVIOUS JOBS SEEMED TO HAVE CHANGED, EVEN IF SLIGHTLY!!!
BUT NOT SUNDANCE, AND ESPECIALLY NOT IN THE SHAMOKIN OFFICE!!! BECKY FINKLE IS JUST THE SAME WARM PERSON WHO I MET WHEN I FIRST VENTURED OUT TO THIS TOWN, AND THE WHOLE OFFICE JUST RESONATES WITH THIS LEVELED AND DELICATE CARE THAT SEEMS TO BE ALMOST TRADITIONAL IN A CERTAIN WAY.
WE EMPLOYEES GET A CHANCE TO VOICE OUR THOUGHTS AND SHARE OUR IDEAS AND OPIONS DAILY, FOR THE BENIFIT OF EVERYONE ELSE WHO WANT TO BE INSPIRED TO DO A BETTER JOB.
I JUST FEEL, THAT SHE AS A MANAGER, IS MORE OF A PERSONAL FRIEND THAN ANY PERSON IN HER POSITION COULD POSSIBLY BE.
I AM AWARE OF THE TENDER GRACES SHE AFFORDS ME, AND I NOW REALIZE THAT ANYONE WHO WORKS FOR THIS COMPANY IS -IN THEIR OWN WAY-A SUPPORT PILLAR FOR EACH OF US WHEN WE TEMPORARILY ESCAPE OUR LIVES FOR JUST A FEW HOURS A DAY!
I DON’T THINK I COULD HAVE HAD THE COURAGE TO TALK TO HER, IF NOT FOR THE TRUST SHE INSPIRES WITHIN EACH OF US,…AND I SAY TO EVERYONE, WE ALL WILL ACHIEVE THE GOALS REQUESTED OF US, BECAUSE IN THE END, ITS THE REFLECTION OF HER PERSONALITY THAT MAKES US ALL A LITTLE MORE UNIQUE IN OUR TALENTS AND AT OUR JOBS!
AND FINALLY, I WANT TO GIVE A SHOUT OUT TO MY BOYS, JACK AND ERIC—WHO HAD THEIR FINAL DAY WORKING WITH US, BECAUSE THEY ARE MOVING ON!!!!
YOU GUYS ROCK, AND ROLL, AND GO FIND THE SECRETS OF YOUR ART!!!-AND YOU TWO WILL ALWAYS WILL BE A PART OF THIS TERRIFIC FAMILY!!!

I Totally agree with you Ronnie and I think we should all be as excited about our jobs as you are. I have been with Sundance Vacations for almost 9 years now and I love every minute of my job. I love chatting to people and making them realize that they need a vacation like this. I love to break away from the daily stress of life even if just for a few days and then come back all refreshed and ready for a new day.
