New Client Services “LEAPS” into Summer
I would like to commend the New Client Services Department of Sundance Vacations. In the month of May we did a program “Five Star Teamwork.” Every Monday Judy and I conducted a meeting with the staff on different issues. Examples were: Be Committed to…
EACH OTHER…
THE MISSION…
THE CUSTOMER…
RESOLVING CONFLICTS…
THE DETAILS…
Listen-focus on understanding their concerns.
Empathize-imagine yourself in their shoes.
Acknowledge-tell them you understand.
Pamper-go the extra mile to make it right.
Every week we would discuss issues that we had with clients and what we did to help resolve their issues and make sure they were happy. It was a great way to give the department some cross training by sharing how each one of us handles a situation and what we can do to make us better.
As a thank you for all of their hard work Sandy, Judy and I had a Tropical themed party. Sandy made chicken shishkebobs, fruit punch and a cake, Judy made a fruit salad and I made spaghetti salad and baked potatoes. We had a really nice day. Everyone seemed to enjoy it. Sandy and Sarah are working on a LEMON theme for July.
“When life gives you lemons, make Lemonade!”

Kelly, Thanks for sharing about something that you all did in your department and how it worked. What you all did at the end of the month to celebrate was so nice. It gave me some ideas as to something that might work in a Marketing Office. If I come up with something I’ll be sure to share it with you too. Thanks again for helping get these creative juices flowing.
It sounds like you had alot of fun with this idea. It is also a nice way to keep everybody motivated. I like the whole idea of the leap. Good luck for coming up with something for lemon.
The theme you followed was very inspiring and very positive! I love the last line, “When life gives you lemons, make Lemonade!” It is so true. With a little motivation, one can always find the best in any situation. Keep up the great work and the positive attitudes!!
Kelly what a great story! I love the picture of all you girls.
I am happy that you shared the success you’ve had with LEAP thus far and wish you the best with LEMON!! Very positive!!!
Congratulations New Client Services! Being your next door neighbor I can attest to all the positive changes that have taken place in your department. You guys are one of the closest teams that I have seen in awhile. You truly like each other and the clients so it is always nice to hear you guys helping each other. Plus being your next door neighbor entitles me to sneak over and have some of Sandy’s delicious punch from the hawaiian party! Keep up the good work!!
Great idea. Good luck with lemons. Sarah, I love the frog hat!!!!
That was such a great idea they came up with. I am sure you had a lot of fun doing it. It’s always good to come up with ways to make your deparment more knowledgable about their jobs.
The LEAP idea was great- and the Lemonade day was a really nice idea too!
The LEAP idea was great and the party at the end of the month was also very nice of you to do for your employees.
I recently went to one of those 60 min. presentations. Recently-meaning 10 min.ago (sat. 9/22/07 3:00pm). I was offered great deals, the last one being the best. However, I refused them ALL. On the ride home from the presentation, I realized the mistake I had made. Sadly it is Saturday and the corporate office is closed and, to make matters worse, I do not know the phone number of the SUNDANCE VACATION suite 20 in Princeton, to tell them of this mistake and plead for the opportunity to take advantage
of the great deals that they offered me. Please respond to my comment with that number. My wife is so mad off at me.
I write in response to Mike Pontoriero’s comment from 9/22/07. The office in Princeton is closed Sunday and Monday, so the best thing to do is to call our New Client Services Department at 1-800-264-3802. They should be able to help you.
Thanks-
