000 giveaway

Since we had such a good time giving away six free cruises with the Facebook Cruise Giveaway Contest, we thought it would be a lot of fun to continue the contests and giving. So, we are asking you – our customers, fans and friends – to submit your favorite vacation photo for a chance to win a vacation aboard a fun-filled cruise.

In order to enter the contest, you have to submit a photo along with a brief essay explaining the fun being had in your photo and why should win. You can do this on our “Photo Contest” tab.

The submission period is now open until August 31. We will then open up the voting for a two week period, which will end on September 14th. At that time we will pick the photo with the most votes as the winner. The winner will then have a year to claim their cruise vacation!

The winner will receive the following:

• Sundance Vacations voucher for a four-day, three-night cruise for two;
• Cruise leaves from ports in Ft. Lauderdale, Miami, or Los Angeles;
• Round-trip airfare for two (not to exceed $800 total) to port city;
• And one night’s stay in the port city.

So, grab your photo albums and pick your best vacation photo for a chance to win!

As I sit courtside at the New Jersey Nets/Chicago Bulls game, the score board reads Nets 2-Bulls 6. It still has not set in yet, that I have won $50,000 from Sundance Vacations. The fact that a group of Sundance Vacations employees came to New Jersey from Pennsylvania to present me a legitimate check for $50,000 at the Nets game is insane! And, getting seats a couple of rows from center court was icing on the cake! If I have a reason to stop smiling while writing this, I just keep thinking about how fortunate I am to be in this position.  

You don’t think these things could ever happen to you. You fill out an entry form and think, “yeah right!” Now, I’m grateful that I at least gave it a shot. Sundance Vacations has spoiled me ever since. Sundance has given me VIP treatment at the New Jersey Nets game, flowers and balloons at my house, a dozen of handshakes, smiles, and thank-yous.

The Sundance Vacations staff has been extremely personable and friendly throughout this whole experience.  Update: Nets 15 Bulls 19 VP of Marketing Joe Molitoris, Director of Marketing Chip Kilby, CFO Marvin Metzger, and Communications Director Amanda Miller are truly down to earth. What am I going to do with the $50,000 from the Sundance Vacations Sweepstakes you ask? As of right now, I do have a dream of traveling to Europe. I also plan on paying off some debt, investing, and saving some on the side to buy a house. Update: Nets 25 Bulls 28

The next opportunity I have to enter a raffle, I’m definitely going to enter. What are the chances of lightning striking twice? I know it would be zero if I never took the chance. You have to be in it to win it!

-2008 Sundance Vacations Sweepstakes winner Argiris Hristofis-

Our phones have been buzzing for several days.  People want to know who won the Sundance Vacations sweepstakes.  And the winner of the Sundance Vacations $50,000 sweepstakes is…..

 Argiris Hristofis from Edison, New Jersey.   

Argiris was randomly chosen from among 1,3000,000 sweepstakes entries that were collected at Sundance Vacations sponsored events in 2008.  Mr.  Hristofis registered for the Sundance Vacations sweepstakes at the New Jersey Nets game on November 3^rd.  Argiris had his choice of either the Ultimate Sports Giveaway, a luxury vehicle or the $50,000.

Guess what he chose? 

Like all past winners, Mr. Hristofis opted for the money.

Employee Alicia Feghey also won a $10,000 bonus for registering the winning entrant.  An additional $30,000 in employee bonus money was unspent because the winner did not attend one of our meetings.
