CONGRATULATIONS to all finalists! Sundance Vacations wishes you the best of luck!

Best of luck to all finalists! We’ll be cheering for you on June 22nd! Can’t wait to see the results.
This is very exciting! I’m hoping for a sweep!
Tina Dowd said she does not want her employees to lie to people but they tell their employee’s to lie to people they call or fire them,as I was a recent and faithful employee who didn’t want to be rude to people. And I went back to the company as I had liked my job in the past .Fire and hire.Best place to work .JOKE
In response to Morty’s statement: I have worked for Sundance vacations for almost 4yrs and have never been told to lie to anyone. I must speak to hundreds of clients a week and I believe our product for vacationing speaks for itself. Shame on you for saying employees are told to lie we have much more integrity than that. Oh and Morty this is no JOKING matter we are the best place to work.
Congratulations to the Sundance finalists! Best of luck to all! Working for such a great company, luck won’t be necessary. 2009 is our year for sure!
Sundance Vacations is the most excellent company I have ever had the privelege of working for. The honesty and integrity comes from the top down; every employee is required to be honest and up front with each client from the very start. Just one of the many reasons I am proud to say I work for the best!
Sundance Vacations is the best place to work. I have been here 15 years and I have never been asked to lie to anyone. As a matter of fact I despise liars. I think that someone who blatantly lies should be fired on the spot. It is not in Sundance’s culture to tolerate liars. I’m curious as to why Morty left in the first place. Was this by choice or were you “let go?”
Good luck to all finalists.
As for Morty, If this is a bad company why come back. I have been her for 10 years. I left 1 year and came back. It was the best thing I did is to come back. My daughter and niece work here, I tell friends and family all the time to apply here because of the great company we work for. I collect for this company and were never are told to lie to anyone and to call someone a liar like Tina is ridiculous. She tells you how it is.
I wonder if Morty left on his own or was let go?
I have to disagree with Morty, mainly because one of my specific job responsibilities encompasses the very task that he is commenting on. Client and non-client concerns involving the specific complaint that Morty is alleging end up on my desk. It is my responsibility to review and respond to these complaints, as well as to ensure that all Sundance employees are held accountable if they do not follow our approved departmental policies and procedures. The latter half of this process directly involves my boss, Tina Dowd. In these types of scenarios Tina requires that I provide her with a summary of the situation, as well as the names of the staff members that were involved in the process that resulted in the complaint. With information in hand Tina then personally contacts the department whose process resulted in the complaint. I don’t know how we could be any more accountable than that!
Morty is suggesting that lying while doing your job is a trait that Tina would support. I can assure you that it is not. Furthermore, I can guarantee you a personal call from her if you care to try it.
Hey Morty, I’m also a faithful employee who is not rude to anyone that I speak to and have been awarded in the past for my efforts. I have been marketer of the month, inbound of the month, and employee of the year and I think your claim is outragous and way out of line. I have been employed here for 15 years. During theese years I have worked in several different departments thoughout the company. I can honestly say I never, ever once was told by Tina Dowd or anyone else to lie. You should be thanking Tina for giving you the opportunity to work for such a great company. A wise man once told me, “if you donot learn from your mistakes, you’re doomed to repeat them” I guess You didnt learn from your mistakes the first time, or you would still be employed here.
CONGRATULATIONS TO ALL FINALISTS, JUST BEING RECOGNIZED FOR YOUR ACCOMPLISHMENTS AND CONTRIBUTIONS IS A GREAT ACHIEVEMENT, GOOD LUCK IN NEW YOUR CITY!!!!!CANT WAIT FOR THE RESULTS.
Congratulations Stevie Finalists! I don’t know. I have to agree with the majority of the responses. Tina Dowd would never tell someone to lie! Morty, since you were referencing Best Places to Work, next time try and comment on the right blog. Your post has absolutely nothing to do with Sundance Vacations in the Stevie Awards! They say littering is a crime, well we don’t appreciate you littering on the Sundance Vacations blog! Although we do appreciate your opinion, didn’t your mother ever teach you “if you have nothing nice to say, don’t say anything at all?”
Wow! What a shocker! Morty what is your true intension? Are you looking for payback or are you needing overdue attention? How dare you call Tina Dowd a liar. I’ve worked for this company for what will be going on 14 years in December, and have worked my way from cold calling strangers that have what I believe better character than you. My experience with this company has grown all the way into running my very own marketing office. I still to this day get offended if I hear a marketer question weather or not our company is on the up and up. My response to them is why in the world would you allow yourself to work for a company that you just didn’t believe in? What does that say about you, let alone our company? I have no illusion of what the company I work for has to offer any number of people that we call, and I happen to stand by every offer they have to promote. Morty take a little advice and take quality time to embrace the truth at hand which can only promote truth, and justice for what is most definately right. I’m proud to say that that is and always will be Sundance Vacations in our hearts. Not even you has what it takes to tear that away from so many people that work for Tina Dowd. Remember this experience was your loss, and not ours. Sundance Vacations is and always will be a company not for the owners, but always for the people, because they represent what we call having a great time. Sundance vaction aims to please all the time, even you.
Congratulations to all the finalists!! How exciting! Go Sundance!! Monty, I’m proud to say I work for Sundance Vacations for over 17 years now and Tina would never, I mean NEVER tell anyone to lie. I would be upset if I didnt work for Sundance anymore too, but I would never lie about the company or the way its run. Shame Shame!
It sounds like Morty is looking for an excuse to why he no longer works for Sundance. Morty, I believe your perception is misconstrude. If you lie and mislead people about who we are and what we do, you are putting your position at Sundance Vacations in jeapordy. I have been a faithful employee to faithful employers for 14 years. Since I monitor the entire marketing staff and enforce script accuracy, proper disclosure, professional mannerism at all times, and to give a completely honest presentation, it leaves me to believe that you just weren’t cut out for the job. Keep this in mind when you come back around the third time as I’m sure you will.
I worked for Tina Dowd back in the early 90′s left to persue another career – that was my first mistake – I returned to Sundance last year and have been very happy every since. Tina Dowd and all Sundance employees are honest to a fault, we never lie to anyone or asked to do so. A person who lies is a coward – so Monty is this your way of admitting you lie? or are you admitting you are a coward?
In reply by the comment by Morty Chong-why Tina Dowd? In the 11 years I’ve worked here-I have never worked with Tina in either a supervisory capacity or otherwise; I have met her, when she took the time to come to each of our tables to offer a personal greeting during the Christmas parties given each year to all their employees,at the company picnics-where not only the employee-but their spouses and children are treated to a day at an amusement park. She was there when I was awarded $10,000-for simply doing my job-an award available to every marketer and related employee, every year. She has sent a hand-written note and other rememberence during the year to her employees on all levels-to congratulate accomplishments-and remembers every birthday-but never in those 11+years-have I received 1 instruction from her.
The article is usefull for me. I’ll be coming back to your blog.
