Sundance Vacations 2008 Sweepstakes Winner-Live Blog
As I sit courtside at the New Jersey Nets/Chicago Bulls game, the score board reads Nets 2-Bulls 6. It still has not set in yet, that I have won $50,000 from Sundance Vacations. The fact that a group of Sundance Vacations employees came to New Jersey from Pennsylvania to present me a legitimate check for $50,000 at the Nets game is insane! And, getting seats a couple of rows from center court was icing on the cake! If I have a reason to stop smiling while writing this, I just keep thinking about how fortunate I am to be in this position.
You don’t think these things could ever happen to you. You fill out an entry form and think, “yeah right!” Now, I’m grateful that I at least gave it a shot. Sundance Vacations has spoiled me ever since. Sundance has given me VIP treatment at the New Jersey Nets game, flowers and balloons at my house, a dozen of handshakes, smiles, and thank-yous.
The Sundance Vacations staff has been extremely personable and friendly throughout this whole experience. Update: Nets 15 Bulls 19 VP of Marketing Joe Molitoris, Director of Marketing Chip Kilby, CFO Marvin Metzger, and Communications Director Amanda Miller are truly down to earth. Thanks again guys!
What am I going to do with the $50,000 from the Sundance Vacations Sweepstakes you ask? As of right now, I do have a dream of traveling to Europe. I also plan on paying off some debt, investing, and saving some on the side to buy a house. Update: Nets 25 Bulls 28
The next opportunity I have to enter a raffle, I’m definitely going to enter. What are the chances of lightning striking twice? I know it would be zero if I never took the chance. You have to be in it to win it!

Congratulations, Mr. Hristofis! I read in our company newsletter that you are from Greece. I traveled to Greece a few years ago and visited Athens and several islands. It was my favorite vacation so far! That is where I would be right now if I won $50,000!
It sounds as if you are planning to spend your winning very wisely. If I were you I would probably purchase one or two lottery tickets as well. Lightning not striking the same place twice is only a myth. As a matter of fact, the Empire State Building averages getting hit by lightning 25 times a year!

I was responsible for pulling the video file from the DVD that was taken at the time the $50,000 check was presented to Argiris, so needless to say, I’ve seen it quite a few times. My favorite part was when he said “What happened, I don’t even know what’s going on.”
Argiris was truly surprised, and I really liked this years’ presentation–prize patrol style! Marvin’s top hat was great.
