88% of American Workers are Happy With their Jobs

According to a Clarus Poll, a new nationwide poll finds that 88 percent of American workers are happy with their jobs. The survey, conducted by Clarus Research Group, found only 6 percent of workers unhappy with their current employment. Another 6 percent said they were neither happy nor unhappy. “In these tough times of high unemployment and uncertainty, many workers are happy that they have jobs,” said Ron Faucheux, president of Clarus Research Group. “However, despite the nationwide results, there were important differences among population groups, especially based on age, race, education and region.” Age is a major factor, with the youngest and oldest workers a wide 27 points apart. Only 69 percent of workers under the age of 30 are satisfied with their jobs, compared to 96 percent of those 60 and older.

WOW! Not hard to believe. Sundance Vacations participates in the Best Places to Work Program each year, and this year, for the third consecutive year, Sundance Vacations has been recognized as one of the Best Places to Work in Pennsylvania. Approximately 75% of the total evaluation consists of an employee survey that measures the employee experience. So, Sundance Vacations employees are saying that they love their jobs!

Sundance Vacations named as one of the Best Places to Work in PA

Congratulations team, we did it!! For the third year in a row, Sundance Vacations was named as one of the Best Places to Work in PA. Hundreds of employees anonymously participated in the survey process. Participation levels were so significant, that Sundance Vacations proves to be one of the best places to work, because of its employees.

Companies from across the state entered the two-part process to determine the 100 Best Places to Work in PA. The first part consisted of evaluating each nominated company’s workplace policies, practices, philosophies, systems and demographics. The second part consisted of an employee survey to measure the employee experience. The combined scores determine the top companies and the final ranking. Best Companies Group managed the overall registration and survey process.

This statewide survey and awards program was designed to identify, recognize and honor the best places of employment in Pennsylvania, benefiting the state’s economy, its workforce and businesses. Last year Sundance Vacations was named #12 Best Place to Work in PA.

Sundance Vacations will be recognized and honored at the Best Places to Work in PA evening awards ceremony on Tuesday, December 1, 2009, at the Hershey Lodge & Convention Center. The final rankings will be revealed at the ceremony. Stay tuned!
