What’s Your Story?

Thanks to all who have been sending in their comments and posts.  We use the blog to post information about the company, whether from staff or clients and it’s nice to have the increased activity!

Many of you are writing about your job with Sundance Vacations.  That got me thinking…what do I like about my job? What makes me keep coming back?  Well, there’s the obvious-I like my co-workers and my bosses.  But what I’ve always enjoyed the most about my job is the interaction I get to have with the clients, that’s what keeps me coming back!

I have spoken with many people for many different reasons over the years.  My favorite type of conversation is when I’m able to do something that makes a client happy.

A few years ago, housekeeping notified us that the refrigerator in one of our units in The Poconos was leaking.  The client who had stayed there never complained, so imagine their surprise when I called and told them I would add a replacement week to their program because of the leak.  That was a fun call to make.  The client was so pleased, and I felt really good when the call ended.

How about you? Do you have any good stories you’d like to share? I’d love to hear from you!

And The Winner Is…

The employees and management of Sundance Vacations extend a big congratulations to John Stewart of Randolph Township, New Jersey. His entry was selected as the winner of the Sundance Vacations sweepstakes promotion for 2006.

General Manager for Sundance Vacations, Joe Molitoris, delivered the great news to the winner.  The guidelines of the Sweepstakes allow the winner to choose either a luxury car valued up to $70,000, the Ultimate Sports Giveaway which would include 6 tickets to the sporting event of his choice, private jet transportation, luxury hotel and a VIP party or $50,000 in cash.   Mr. Stewart’s biggest question was how soon could he get his money.

The answer to that question is…really soon.  An official presentation ceremony is planned for February 3rd.  Mr. Stewart will receive a check for $50,000 during a half time ceremony at Saturday’s Seton Hall basketball game.

The lucky new Jersey resident was randomly selected from among 811,000 national entries.  He registered at the Meadowlands State Fair in July.

The question of the day seems to be, what would you choose if you were given the choices Mr. Stewart was given?  The car? The Sports Giveaway? Or the cold hard cash?

We welcome your thoughts or comments~

Love My Job!

What a change of scenery.

I have been working for Sundance for six months and I have to say this has to be the best decision I have ever made in my entire life! Some might ask why a graduate of PSU would ever decide to sell vacations and let me tell you why. The people I work with are the best bunch I have ever had the pleasure to meet. The day I started I was welcomed into the family with open arms. I am amazed and thank my lucky stars each day that I am able to work at Sundance Vacations. I look forward to going to work each day. What is even better is that I get to work with my best friend and better half. I thank her the most for turning me on to this great company, organization, and family. I also thank all that helped me in the process and those who help me every day!

Laguna Bay Villas

This is to all of the busy families and or single parents out there who think that traveling these days is nearly next to impossible due to the cost of a family vacation, taking time off of work, the kids missing school, and the inconvience of trying to find out where and when you would like to go, and not to mention all of the inconviences that come along w/flying these days.  Not only do you need to take the time out of your hectic schedule, but there is alot involved with planning a family trip, whether it’s a day trip or a week long vacation.

I have been affliliated with Sundance Vacations for a very long time, how long you ask, well my daughter was 3 mths old when I first got involved with the program and now she is 12 and has a brother who is 10. Time went by really fast and in the beginning and I felt I would never get the opportunity to use the program. The kids would always ask why does everyone else get to go on vacation, why can’t we? So, finally I decided, why not use the program I had access to all these years and try to do something nice for my family. That’s exactly what I did.

We went to Orlando of course, the #1 family destination, and stayed at the Launga Bay Villas. This place is located right outside of all of the Disney destinations and is within driving distance to International drive and Sea World. The amenities included a swimming pool, jacuzzi, playstation, golf putting green and a playground w/outdoor grills. It had everything you would need indoor as well to accomodate our family. The condo was a 3 bedroom unit with 2 bathrooms, washer and dryer, living room, dining room, kichtenette, cable tv and even pizza delivery right next door. I think my family thought they had died and went to heaven. So did I, because they were so well behaved they didn’t have the time to be bad because there was just so much to do. We even drove for the day to Daytona Beach (1 hour away) and got a chance to check out the Nascar Race Track and simulator and even got to drive on the beach for the 1st time ever!

This may have been the 1st vacation I took with my family, but it definitley will not be the last, I highly recommend using the program, even if takes a few years and a little bit of money to do so. Just ask the kids, who will never forget the great times we had and many more to come! As for our next family adventure w/Sundance Vacations, look out Vegas here we come!!!!!
